With close to six hundred members, West Shore’s communication can
be complicated! The staff tries to find at least three or four different
ways to communicate the variety of events, activities, classes and services
that happen on a weekly basis at West Shore. However, knowing where
to find this information is also helpful. Below are some important documents
that you may find useful.
Our church newsletter Shorelines is our monthly newsletter that contains columns from the ministers,
Director of Lifespan Faith Development, Music Director, Intern, and President
of the Board of Trustees; a monthly calendar, and articles on the many activities
that are happening that month. It is the singlemost important source of
information.
The PUURL prospectus is published twice a year (Fall & Spring
Semester) and represents our program for Spiritual Development. PUURL is
an acronymn that stands for Practicing a Unitarian Universalist Religious Life. The
brochure is printed and mailed with Shorelines in early September and mid-January.
The RE Prospectus is a booklet that describes our Lifespan Development Program
(a.k.a. Sunday School) for infants, children, and youth. It is mailed out
at the beginning the church year, typically in early September. It is also
available in the publication rack, to the right of the church office.
Finding your way at West Shore is a list of all the committees and rentals that meet in the building. It can be downloaded here. Additional copies can be found in the front office, and in the brochure rack.
