It's almost here! On Saturday, May 6th, West Shore UU Church will “Reach for the Stars” with an Annual Service Auction that is sure to be just as lofty in its resplendence and financial success as the theme's name suggests! The Young Adult Group is heading up the planning this year, and is excited to announce a few upgrades to the event. The evening will include three main features: Brand new this year, and sure to be a ton of fun - Starting at 6:00 pm. (Doors open at 5:45 p.m.), an elegant buffet banquet you won't want to miss! Come for gourmet food, desserts, wine, beer, DJ service by Fuze Entertainment, dancing, early access to viewing and bidding in the silent auction, and exclusive raffles and giveaways! One lucky dinner guest will win a golden ticket to take home a valuable silent auction prize of their choice without having to bid! Then, at 7:00 p.m., the Silent Auction opens to all attendees, featuring goods and services generously donated by our members and local businesses. Then, at 8:30 p.m., the Live Auction will begin.
Event-wide desserts, light refreshments, and (non-alcoholic) beverages are included for every guest, at all ticket levels. In past years, the refreshments were “heavy” and almost a dinner unto themselves. This year, we have the addition of the full meal banquet to bolster your belly before the bidding begins (say that 3 times fast!)
We are just giddy with excitement over the array of dazzling and unique donations this year, including fine pottery, pet pampering, exotic dance lessons, an Apple TV, self defense training, computer help, game parties, handmade jewelry, and more! Auctions-only general admission is $25, and the banquet is an additional $10. New members get free auction admission, and only need to pay the optional $10 to attend the banquet. Detailed pricing breakdown:
