Welcome to Lifespan Faith Development

We use the phrase "Lifespan Faith Development" at West Shore to remind us of the fact that "religious education" is not something that is only for children or something that you graduate from and have no further need for. Instead, it is a lifelong process of learning and growing in depth of understanding and commitment to a religious life, rooted in faith in ourselves, in each other, and in the world we call home.

Our overall Lifespan Faith Development Program has components for children, youth and adults.

Both our Religious Education Program for Children and Youth and our Adult Education Program known as PUURL ("Practicing a Unitarian Universalist Religious Life" exemplify the idea that the most important lessons are not those that can be written down in books—they must be lived into life. The Unitattler is a monthly newsletter for parents & guardians of West Shore's children and youth, written by the Lifespan Faith Development Director and staff.
