Meet Our Director
Kathy Strawser is the Director of Lifespan Faith Development. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and has a B.A. and M.A. in English from Kent State University. She taught for thirty years in the Berea City Schools. Team teaching, curriculum writing, and mentoring new teachers were her key responsibilities outside the classroom. At West Shore, Kathy has served on the Board of Trustees and the Senior Choir. This is her eighth year as West Shore’s director. In our Ohio-Meadville District, she has co-chaired the Lifespan Faith Development Committee, served as chapter president of its Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA), co-led two of its Renaissance Modules, and serves as a district Good Officer. Her passion is intergenerational worship.
