Meeting Spaces

The West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church was completely renovated in 2005-2006.  The original sanctuary, Baker Hall, shown on the left (seating capacity: 180) can be used for large receptions, weddings, programs and other community events.  The church has access to both a wooden dance floor and a stage for special events.

The Chapel (seating capacity: 60) is floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook a gracefully landscaped garden area.  It is equipped with a drop screen for projection, a baby grand piano, podium, and two small tables.  The chapel can be used for small weddings, memorial services or community events & programs.

West Shore's main Kitchen was completely refurbished during the renovation and boasts state-of-the art industrial kitchen grade equipment.  Just down the hall, the Rotunda Kitchen serves as a coffee & hors d'oeuvres preparing station.

The Fireside Room has an elegant "drawing room" feel.  Recently refurbished, it can hold about 40 people for a small reception, speaker series or art show.  At the heart of the Fireside Room is a gas log fireplace.  One wall is entirely glass and overlooks the Courtyard.

The Sanctuary is West Shore's largest public space, with a seating capacity of 350.  A digital projector is mounted on the ceiling, enabling slide projections and powerpoint presentations with ease.  The Holtkamp organ is one of the jewels of Cleveland's west side church organs.  The Steinway grand piano has been played by both local and visiting musicians who appreciate its rich tones.  The sanctuary was built in 1961, and its architecture reflects a modern, simple and elegant aesthetic.

Other meeting spaces include the Library, which has a large conference table and eight upholstered chairs, Conference Rooms D & E adjacent to Baker Hall, Conference Room A for small, private meetings, Rooms 8, 9, 10 & 11, the Ministers Study and classrooms for children and youth.  Check with the church administrator Debbie Lydon at 440-333-2255, ext. 100, during regular business hours about renting any of these spaces.
