West Shore's Consulting Team
West Shore has assembled a team of both ministers and lay leaders who are available to serve your congregation as consultants for a reasonable cost. Our focus is on small to mid-sized congregations with ministerial leadership or aspirations to have a minister. The areas available are:
- Policy Governance. A two hour presentation on the basics of Policy Governance, with case studies, and analysis of your own congregational systems;
- Organizational Development. Members with degrees in Organizational Development can assist you in a study of congregational system and offer new insights, analysis and suggestions on future direction;
- Appreciative Inquiry. Members schooled in Appreciative Inquiry through the Case Western Reserve Program and others who have taught Appreciative Inquiry can lead your congregation through the AI process;
- Radical Hospitality. Church members have practical advice, tips and anecodotes about how to transform your congregation from one of being nice to the newcomer to an attitude of "Sunday is for Company, " which pertains to all;
- Leadership Skills. Every church leader should have some basic leadership skills to bring to his/her meetings. This training will provide some case studies, didactic learnings, and skills to help new leaders run effective and productive meetings.
