Serving Needs Greater Than One's Own
How does a person get involved in the life of the church? How does a person make connections with others? How can I put my values into action? The old adage that 90% of life is just "showing up" is true in church life as well.
West Shore is a large congregation with a diverse array of volunteer opportunities. Certainly many of these volunteer opportunities help to make the church run smoother and more efficiently. Many of these volunteer tasks serve a second function--they help you to become more connected with your fellow church members.
Serving needs greater than your own is part of what it means to participate in the life of the church at West Shore. Below are some volunteer service opportunities you should consider as part of the way you participate in the life of this congregation. This is by no means an exhaustive list! Talk to a minister about your interests and how you can more fully participate in the life of this congregation. You'll be glad you did.
