Expectations of Members
In the Path to Membership class we discuss expections--yours and ours. We talk about some of the benefits of membership, which include:
- Knowing you are connected to kindred spirits through shared worship, work, and spiritual practice;
- access to church resources; which include the building, the staff and the ministers;
- The right to vote, call a minister, elect officers and be part of the leadership team;
- The right to be considered for denominational representation.
The responsibilities of membership include:
- regular attendance at community worship;
- a commitment to service to the world through social justice;
- a commitment to your own spiritual growth and practice;
- sharing of your time and talents to support the functioning of the church;
- sharing your resources to support the work of the church through your pledge.
- Honoring our CARE Covenant, a commitment to Courtesy, Acceptance, Respect, and Engagement.
