Worship Times
What do we mean when we use the word worship? What do we worship? As Unitarian Universalists,we don't expect all of our members to answer that question the same way. Some gather to worship God, as expressed through ancient texts, modern understandings and through the community. For others, God and other traditional concepts, such as the Bible, heaven, hell, salvation, etc, have little or no meaning for how one lives ones life in this world. Therefore, we commonly understand worship as "lifting up those things of worth." Whether exploring the life of Jesus, or understanding the religious meaning behind societal issues, we hold up and draw close, to those things of ultimate worth and meaning in our lives.
