Contemporary and Small Group Worship

West Shore has regularly provided worship services apart from those occuring in the church sanctuary.  Usually these services were offered outside of Sunday morning, whether "alt.worship," or "Soulful Sundown," alternative styles of worship are embraced at West Shore.

West Shore has been exploring adding a second Sunday morning service entitled "Worship Cafe." We now offer the Worship Cafe once a month in Baker Hall, on the third Sunday, through May 2008.  Just prior to the service, starting at 11:45 a light catered lunch is available for purchase. Coffee and tea is available for free. At 12:30, with music, art, ritual and song, the ministers lead an hour long worship service, focused on the same theme as the 10:30 service but with a different format and often different content reflecting a new angle on the theme.  Watch the church newsletter, The Shorelines for more information about this service as it develops.

The parish co-ministes and worship associates are looking for in-house musicians, artists, poets, dancers and other artistic venues to help shape worship in a venue different from the sanctuary style of worship.  Are you interested in being part of a creative team?  Contact one of the parish co-ministers at 440-333-2255 ext. 115.
